Reflected XSS via unescaped XML attribute
Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Reflected XSS in CMSJunkie J-BusinessDirectory before 6.2.3 allows remote attackers to run script in a victim browser via companyName. The vulnerable response path writes the request-supplied companyName value into an XML attribute without escaping, allowing crafted input to break attribute context and inject script-bearing markup. Exploitation requires a target user to open a crafted request or link, and published scoring indicates integrity impact to rendered content without evidence of direct server-side code execution or service interruption.
