Database disclosure via interpolated MCP tool arguments
Published May 1, 2026 · Updated May 1, 2026
SQL injection in astro-mcp-server 1.1.0 and 1.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to read Astro ASO database data via MCP tools. In src/index.ts, searchRankings and other handlers interpolate request.params.arguments strings directly into SQLite queries passed to db.exec(). Exploitation requires permission to invoke an affected MCP tool and a readable local Astro database; a demonstrated UNION payload bypasses filters and returns arbitrary query results.
