Denial of service in OpenSearch Dashboards before 3.8.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted HTTP request. The capabilities route handler accepts client-supplied request bodies without enforcing a maximum size before parsing them, so oversized payloads can consume memory and processing resources. No authentication or user interaction is required; exposure depends on network reachability to the Dashboards HTTP interface, including Amazon OpenSearch Service versions 1.3 through 3.5.
