CVE-2026-7589Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file write via unsanitized job_name

Published May 1, 2026 · Updated May 1, 2026

Path traversal in Splunk MCP Integration allows remote authenticated users to write CSV files outside the configured export directory. The CSV generator replaces only spaces in job_name, joins the remaining value to CSV_OUTPUT_DIR, and writes the generated content without resolving or confining the resulting path. Exploitation requires a valid account with csv_create permission and a worker process able to write the chosen filesystem location.
