Authenticated SSRF via unchecked Helm chart URL fetch
Published Oct 12, 2026 · Updated Oct 12, 2026
SSRF in the console in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 allows remote authenticated users to probe services via Helm chart URLs. The /api/helm/verify endpoint fetches a supplied chart_url from the console pod without restricting internal destinations. Limited console privileges suffice; reachable destinations depend on pod network access, and responses expose service reachability or sensitive error information.
