Unauthenticated file disclosure via locale path traversal
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Path traversal in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 allows remote attackers to read JSON files through the web console. The unauthenticated /locales/resource.json handler uses attacker-controlled lng and ns values to form resource paths without confining traversal. Exposure requires a reachable console route and can disclose pod configuration files and plugin manifests or traverse registered dynamic-plugin backends.
