Unauthenticated catalog disclosure via unguarded reverse proxy
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Authentication bypass in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 allows remote attackers to access the in-cluster catalogd service. The console CatalogdHandler registers /api/catalogd/ without authentication and forwards requests, including the openshift-session-token cookie, to catalogd in the openshift-catalogd namespace. Network access to the console endpoint is sufficient to disclose the internal operator-catalog index and relay requests into that namespace.
