Gift-card theft via missing recipient authorization
Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Missing authorization in WP Swings Ultimate Gift Cards for WooCommerce before 3.2.10 allows remote authenticated users to steal gift-card value. Both redemption paths accept a gift card without confirming that the current account is its intended recipient, so redemption zeroes the victim's balance and credits the value to the attacker's account. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; after 3.2.9, the remaining path is reachable only when the vendor's companion plugin before 3.2.10 is active.
