AMF crash via malformed GPSI assertion
Published May 1, 2026 · Updated May 1, 2026
Denial of service in Open5GS AMF 2.7.0 through 2.7.7 allows remote authenticated users to crash AMF via a malformed GPSI value. ogs_id_get_value returns null when a GPSI lacks the expected hyphen-delimited value, and nudm-handler.c passes that result to a fatal assertion. A UE registration must cause AMF to consume the malicious UDM am-data response; one malformed entry aborts open5gs-amfd and interrupts registration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
