CVE-2026-75852Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated database read/write via skipped SASL checks

Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026

Improper authentication in the MongoDB wire-protocol plugin in ArcadeDB before 26.8.1 allows remote attackers to read and write data via port 27017. MongoDBBackend.handleCommand authenticates only saslStart and saslContinue, then forwards insert, find, update, delete, and create commands without checking that the connection authenticated. Because the plugin never binds an authenticated principal to the channel or database context, ACL checks run with a null user and any reachable enabled MongoDB listener permits cross-database access.
