Server setting tampering via missing role check
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026
Authorization bypass in ArcadeDB 26.4.2 through 26.7.3 lets remote authenticated users alter server settings through set_server_setting. SetServerSettingTool.execute() checks only the global allowAdmin flag, then writes GlobalConfiguration directly without verifying the caller's ServerSecurityUser role. Exposure requires an MCP deployment with allowAdmin=true and a non-root allowedUsers set; a read-only account can then tamper with runtime configuration and interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
