Unauthenticated account takeover via nonnumeric object identifier
Published Sep 6, 2026 · Updated Sep 7, 2026
Authentication bypass in DynamiApps Frontend Admin 3.29.12 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over WordPress accounts. The pre_update_value function accepts user email changes without a capability or ownership check, while ActionPost::conditions_logic() skips its edit_post authorization gate for a nonnumeric object identifier such as user_1. An unauthenticated frontend form submission can therefore replace an administrator's email address, after which the native password-reset flow grants control of that account.
