Local denial of service via driver authentication bypass
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Exposed dangerous functionality in ASUS Armoury Crate 6.5.7 and earlier allows local users to stall a system through driver requests. A driver authentication bypass accepts requests that trigger system management interrupts, exposing a privileged hardware-control path to low-privileged callers. Local low-privileged access is required; a single SMI briefly stalls the system, while repeated requests produce a denial of service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
