Information disclosure and device disruption via exposed IOCTLs
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Exposed IOCTLs in ASUS Armoury Crate 6.5.7 and earlier allow local users to disclose data and disable device functionality. The driver exposes IOCTL operations that bypass its authentication check and read from or write to PCIe configuration space. A low-privileged local account and a high-complexity request sequence are required; successful access can reveal configuration data or disable a device.
