System denial of service via unrestricted driver allocations
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Resource exhaustion in ASUS Armoury Crate 6.5.7 and earlier allows local users to interrupt the system through unrestricted memory allocation. The driver authentication path accepts allocation requests that bypass authentication and applies no limit to the amount of system memory allocated. Low-privileged local access is required, and successful exploitation exhausts system memory rather than disclosing or modifying data.
