Arbitrary file read via unconfined URL mapping
Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026
Path traversal in Meow Apps AI Engine 3.3.3 through 3.7.1 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files. The plugin maps a caller-supplied URL to a local path without confining it to the uploads directory, then reads the resolved file and forwards its contents to an external AI service. Subscriber-level access requires the non-default public API; otherwise administrator access is required, while a multisite subsite administrator can expose shared configuration secrets.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
