Network Administrator takeover via unchecked MCP authorization
Published Aug 21, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026
Privilege escalation in Meow Apps AI Engine 2.8.0 through 3.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to take over network accounts. The MCP user-management tools perform privileged operations on a caller-selected account without enforcing capabilities for that target. Administrator access to one WordPress Multisite sub-site is sufficient to take over any network account, including the Network Administrator.
