Unauthenticated dashboard access via fixed default password
Published May 1, 2026 · Updated May 1, 2026
Hard-coded credentials in the AstrBot Dashboard through 4.16.0 allow remote attackers to obtain administrative WebUI access. The login handler in astrbot/dashboard/routes/auth.py compares submitted values with a default username and fixed MD5 password hash shipped in the default configuration. Exposure requires a reachable Dashboard whose defaults remain unchanged; successful login returns a seven-day authenticated session token.
