Authentication bypass via viewclient script injection

Cross-site scripting in Quest Software NetVault Backup 14.0.1.7 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication through viewclient. The viewclient webpage fails to validate user-supplied data before incorporating it into page output, allowing arbitrary script injection. Exploitation requires a target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; the injected script supports SYSTEM-level code execution only when chained with other flaws.
