Process crash via signed metaphone index overflow

Out-of-bounds read in the PHP metaphone() function allows attackers to crash a PHP process via an input exceeding 2,147,483,647 bytes. In ext/standard/metaphone.c, signed int w_idx increments past INT_MAX and its overflowed value indexes the input string outside its intended bounds. Exploitation requires a reachable caller, more than 2 GiB of input and sufficient memory, and affects PHP 8.2 before 8.2.31, PHP 8.3 before 8.3.31, PHP 8.4 before 8.4.21, or PHP 8.5 before 8.5.6; the read can expose unrelated process memory or terminate the process.
