Unauthenticated admin bypass via path-prefix routing
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026
Authentication bypass in Bastillion through 5.1.0 allows remote attackers to reach administrative controllers via crafted URI prefixes. BaseKontroller.execute() dispatches a controller when request.getRequestURI() merely contains the controller path, while AuthFilter protects only normalized /manage/* and /admin/* servlet paths, so prefixed requests are routed to privileged handlers without the intended login check. No credentials are required on exposed HTTPS endpoints, and successful exploitation lets attackers read user listings, create manager accounts, register managed systems, and take over SSH access brokerage for the managed fleet.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
