Authentication bypass via unguarded template rendering
Published Oct 9, 2026 · Updated Oct 9, 2026
Authentication bypass in pyLoad before 0.5.0b3.dev101 allows remote attackers to read templates and error details via HTTP. The /web/path:filename route renders caller-selected templates without authentication, while handlers.py references exc.desc and returns raw exception text after that lookup fails. Network access to the web UI is sufficient; demonstrated disclosure includes page structure and internal variable names, not populated system-information values.
