CVE-2026-75466Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Application crash via unmapped indexed PNG colorspace

Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026

Divide-by-zero in libjpeg-turbo 3.2.0 allows context-dependent attackers to crash applications via indexed-color PNG images. The PNG reader leaves input_components at zero when a non-gray indexed palette and the default TJPF_UNKNOWN format leave JCS_UNKNOWN unmapped, so alloc_sarray() divides by a zero samples-per-row value. The crash requires an application to pass the image through tj3LoadImage12(), tj3LoadImage16(), or the default tjLoadImage() wrapper; no memory corruption is reported.
