CVE-2026-75421Public exploit

Out-of-bounds read via zero-length line buffer

Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026

Stack-buffer underflow in aria2 1.37.0 and earlier allows local users to trigger an out-of-bounds read via an input-list file. IOFile::getLine subtracts one from strlen(buf) without checking for zero, causing an empty C string to dereference buf[-1]. Exploitation requires aria2c to process a crafted input-list file; the published proof aborts under AddressSanitizer, while other consequences are not established.
