Unauthenticated service disruption via unbounded JSON parsing

Denial of service in GitHub Enterprise Server 3.20.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to disrupt an instance with crafted JSON. The unauthenticated stats endpoint parses deeply nested user-controlled JSON without size or depth limits, exhausting CPU and memory. Network access to the instance is sufficient, and successful exploitation makes its services unresponsive.
