Authenticated code execution via unchecked email attachment upload
Published Jun 6, 2026 · Updated Jun 6, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in MDJM Event Management 1.7.8.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side code. The mdjm_send_comm_email function passes the original mdjm_email_upload_file name and temporary path to move_uploaded_file without checking the extension, MIME type, or file contents. Administrator or MDJM administrator access and a valid nonce are required; a PHP file placed in the public uploads directory executes with the web server's privileges.
