Unauthenticated BSF crash via invalid IPv4 address
Published May 1, 2026 · Updated May 1, 2026
Denial of service in the BSF of Open5GS 2.7.0 through 2.7.7 allows remote attackers to crash the process via an invalid IPv4 address. The pcfBindings handler passes ipv4Addr to bsf_sess_add_by_ip_address; a parse failure returns NULL, which an immediate assertion dereferences and aborts. No authentication, radio node, or user equipment is required; one crafted HTTP/2 POST terminates the BSF process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
