Remote code execution via unvalidated IPC origin
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Code injection in Bilibili Desktop 1.17.9 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through bili-inject.js and bili-bridge.js. The preload bridge exposes privileged IPC operations to renderer content, while the IPC handler fails to validate the requesting page's origin before processing them. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled content to run in the desktop renderer; successful calls execute code with the application's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
