Unauthenticated crash via connection-path length miscount
Published Oct 9, 2026 · Updated Oct 9, 2026
EIPStackGroup OpENer 2.3 has an out-of-bounds read that allows remote attackers to crash the server via crafted ForwardOpen requests. ParseConnectionPath subtracts a fixed or decoded-value-based length instead of the encoded logical segment width, leaving a positive remaining-path count after the input pointer passes the receive buffer. The reported default-server crash requires access to TCP port 44818 and session registration, not credentials; arbitrary code execution is not established.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
