Service interruption via incorrect connection-path word accounting
Published Oct 9, 2026 · Updated Oct 9, 2026
Integer underflow in EIPStackGroup OpENer 2.3 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via crafted ForwardOpen requests. ParseConnectionPath() subtracts two words for a one-word Production Inhibit Time segment, underflowing remaining_path and making GetPathSegmentType() read beyond the request buffer. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated TCP/44818 session and a non-cyclic connection request; sanitizer builds crash, while non-sanitized behavior depends on runtime conditions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
