Service crash via stale CPF pointer reuse
Published Oct 9, 2026 · Updated Oct 9, 2026
Expired-pointer dereference in EIPStackGroup OpENer 2.3 CPF handling allows remote attackers to crash the service via TCP and UDP packets. CreateCommonPacketFormatStructure leaves the global data_item unchanged when a TCP SendUnitData packet contains only an address item, so connected handling dereferences a pointer retained from a returned UDP stack frame. The trigger requires normal I/O and class3 connections without credentials; the demonstrated outcome is an AddressSanitizer process crash, not code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
