Square credential overwrite via forged OAuth redirect
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Easy Digital Downloads 3.6.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to replace Square OAuth credentials. The handle_oauth_redirect() function accepts square_tokens from a GET parameter on admin_init and stores them without nonce verification. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open a crafted link, after which the attacker's Square credentials can receive store payments.
