Contributor-level configuration disclosure via unrestricted option localization
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Sensitive information exposure in PDF Embedder 4.9.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read plugin configuration. enqueue_block_assets copies every scalar pdfemb option into the browser-visible pdfembPluginOptions object without an allowlist or capability check. Contributor access to the block editor is sufficient; a saved premium license key is exposed only when the premium add-on is installed, while Lite installations disclose viewer settings.
