Session hijacking via unrotated client-supplied cookie
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Session fixation in HubCore Platform 14.1.1 allows remote attackers to hijack an authenticated session through a fixed cookie. The server accepts a client-supplied HUBCOREID value without verifying its origin and does not regenerate the identifier after successful authentication. Exploitation requires placing a known cookie value in a victim's browser before login and waiting for the victim to authenticate, after which the same value grants access to that session.
