Arbitrary file write via unrestricted upload handler
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in MBS-Solutions X-Serie Gateway firmware 6.00.05 allows remote authenticated users to write files via its Web GUI. The /cgi-bin/ugwupload.cgi handler accepts attacker-controlled file content and writes it to hardcoded filesystem paths without restricting the content. An Admin role is required; published evidence establishes file creation but does not establish code execution or disclosure from this flaw.
