Network information disclosure via unrestricted diagnostics
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Information disclosure in MBS-Solutions X-Serie Gateway firmware 6_00_05 allows remote authenticated users to obtain network details. The /cgi-bin/wwwugw.cgi endpoint dispatches direct ugw-ping and ugw-traceroute requests without enforcing the Standard role's intended restrictions. A low-privileged Standard account is sufficient to run gateway-originated diagnostics and learn host reachability and routing paths.
