Authenticated system-version disclosure via unrestricted device-info response
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Information disclosure in MBS-Solutions X-Serie Gateway firmware 6_00_05 allows remote authenticated users to read system version details. The ugw-deviceinfo method in /cgi-bin/wwwugw.cgi returns the operatingsystem and gatewayversion fields without limiting them to an administrative role. Any valid account, including the low-privileged Standard role, can obtain details that identify the gateway's operating system and firmware.
