Classic buffer overflow in HiPER 1200GW 2.5.3-1703 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via a crafted password. The /goform/formUser handler copies the attacker-controlled passwd1 value with strcpy into a fixed-size destination without a bounds check. Low-privilege access and no separate user interaction are required; the public request demonstrates a denial-of-service condition, while code execution is not established.
