CVE-2026-75112

Offline password cracking via weak bcrypt work factor

Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026

Weak password hashing in Rockwell Automation OTTO Fleet Manager V2.36.2 and prior allows attackers to crack stored passwords offline. The application stores bcrypt password hashes with an insufficient work factor, reducing the cost of repeated password guesses against hashes recovered from backups. Exploitation requires access to an unencrypted system backup, and the published impact is limited to credential disclosure rather than direct code execution or service interruption.
