Authorization bypass in Determined 0.38.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to interrupt other users' generic tasks via task-control API requests. The KillGenericTask, PauseGenericTask, and UnpauseGenericTask handlers in master/internal/api_generic_tasks.go load a task by ID, validate state, and then change task state or signal allocations without calling an ownership or authorization check. Any valid account can reach POST /api/v1/tasks/{task_id}/kill, /pause, and /unpause; where task IDs are enumerable, one tenant can stop or resume another tenant's workloads.
