Process crash via raw tensor length mismatch
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Denial of service in Sonos tract 0.23.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash model-loading processes via a crafted ONNX initializer. In the ONNX Initializer Loader, Tensor::from_raw_dt_align in data/src/tensor.rs allocates a buffer from the declared shape and then copies raw_data into it with copy_from_slice without checking that the byte lengths match. Exploitation requires the target to load an untrusted or partially trusted .onnx file; published evidence describes a panic-driven crash during model load, not code execution or data modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
