Published May 22, 2026 · Updated May 22, 2026
Stored XSS in KIA Subtitle 4.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the the-subtitle shortcode. The shortcode() method passes user-controlled before and after attributes to the_subtitle() without sanitizing or escaping them. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the stored script executes in a visitor's browser whenever an affected page is viewed.
