Code execution via unauthenticated Jupyter MCP

Missing authentication in Jupyter MCP tools in JetBrains PyCharm before 2026.2.1 allows attackers to execute code via MCP requests. PyCharm's integrated MCP server exposes Jupyter notebook tools to external clients, and the vulnerable build did not enforce an authentication check before forwarding notebook actions that can run code in the active Jupyter kernel. Reachability depends on the IDE user enabling the bundled MCP Server and exposing those tools to a client; successful use yields code execution in the context of the PyCharm process and attached Jupyter environment.
