Local file read via XXE
Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 17, 2026
XML external entity injection in Hadoop ResourceManager integration in JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA before 2026.2.1 allows local users to read local files. JetBrains has disclosed only that the Hadoop ResourceManager component processes XML with external entity resolution enabled and has not published the specific parser entry point or patch details. Exploitation requires IntelliJ IDEA to parse attacker-influenced ResourceManager data, which bounds the known impact to disclosure of files reachable from the workstation running the IDE.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
