Internal resource access via preview proxy
Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 17, 2026
Server-side request forgery in JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA before 2026.2.1 allows attackers to access internal resources via OpenAPI previews. JetBrains attributes the flaw to the OpenAPI preview proxy in untrusted projects, but public records do not disclose the exact request-handling mistake or attacker-controlled field that lets preview data steer outbound requests. Exploitation requires a user to open an untrusted project, after which the IDE can be induced to send requests from the local host toward otherwise unreachable internal services; no integrity or availability impact has been published.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
