Unauthenticated code execution via reparsed CGI values
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Code injection in Interchange's quick question admin feature allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary Perl code through a crafted request. The dist/lib/UI/pages/admin/quick_question.html page places attacker-controlled yes and no CGI values inside a reparsed calc block, causing embedded Interchange Perl tags to run. No authentication is required; the Safe container limits code by default, while a catalog with AllowGlobal enabled permits execution outside those restrictions.
