Unauthorized mass group membership changes via task execution
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Missing authorization in Apache Syncope allows remote authenticated users to mass provision or deprovision group members through task execution. The task execution path checks task entitlements but does not enforce group-related administration capabilities before applying membership changes across a group. Affected releases are 3.0.0-M0 through 3.0.16, 4.0.0-M0 through 4.0.7, and 4.1.0-M0 through 4.1.2; administrator task-execution entitlements are required.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
