Token disclosure via user-controlled API host

Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 17, 2026

Information disclosure in Roundcube Webmail before 1.6.18 and 1.7.3 allows remote authenticated users to expose a Modoboa API token via crafted session data. In plugins/password/drivers/modoboa.php, the save() method used session-derived imap_host data to build the Modoboa API URL and then sent the configured password_modoboa_api_token in the Authorization header to that host. Only deployments using the password plugin with its modoboa driver are affected; exploitation requires authenticated control over the Roundcube session data and yields the Modoboa credential rather than direct Roundcube code execution.
