Unauthenticated stored XSS via Host cache poisoning
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Emre Vona WP Fastest Cache before 1.5.1 allows remote attackers to run JavaScript in visitors' browsers. The cache generator embeds asset URLs derived from an unvalidated Host header while omitting that header from the cache key, persisting attacker-controlled server references. A forged Host request must populate the shared page cache; subsequent visitors then load the referenced JavaScript without further attacker access.
