CVE-2026-74907Public exploitNetwork attack vector

File disclosure via prefix-only path check

Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026

Path traversal in the static asset server in Grav before 2.0.15 allows remote attackers to read sibling-directory files via crafted paths. In index.php, the plugin asset fast path resolves the requested file with realpath() but then treats a plain string-prefix match as containment, so a sibling directory whose name extends the mapped base, such as assets-secret for assets, is served as if it were inside the allowed directory. Exposure requires the optional user/config/plugin-asset-map.php mapping to exist and be reachable; stock installs without that opt-in fast path are not exposed, and published impact is limited to unauthorized file reads.
